Religion

The world seems to be in a turmoil. people are fighting in many countries, and it seems to be religion that is the root cause of all these turmoils and tribulations which are causing so much of unhappiness and distress.
But Religion, you can not ban it. You can not live away from it.
So, This is high time, we try to understand what is religion.
Religion is only a way of life.Religion is an attempt to try to understand and interpret the great phenomenon that is known as God, the creator. Each religion has its own interpretation about God. And praying God for anything and everything gives a kind of solace to the people.
In attempting to find comfort, the groups of people living in different parts of this earth, formed their own ways of life.
But, when the people were not satisfied with what they had, they began to wander capturing the weaker people, and then all these turmoils began. They taught their way of life, calling it as religion, to the people they won over with brute force.
It is high time people realize that living in harmony with all the sects, whatever their religion be, is the real religion, a true Dharma. For being born on this Earth, let us protect this earth for future generations to come.

There is no stupidity than thinking any religion as superior to others. And surely it is a crime to force one's religion on others.
But, as the Earth is divided into several countries, it is better to adapt a uniform code of law , for each country, which should be followed by the countrymen. The law should not be based on any religion. Religion is an individual choice, and should not come in the way of administration of a country. The administrator should be impartial and should work in the interest of all people.

Parliamentarians

My country

Observing the behaviour of parliamentarians, I feel ashamed. What do they think ? Do not they have moral responsibility for the development and progress of my country?  Holding on to some flimsy cause, upsetting the Parliamentary function is a sin and a crime.
Oh you, parliamentarians who are sitting in opposition benches, remember that after all any Office of power is temporary, and you may get the chance again, if you behave well.
Most of the people are poor and not educated. So, their votes can be bought by some monetary kindness to them. But, definitely, this will not last long.   Now that parliament meetings are shown live on TV, people know what they are speaking and how they are behaving. Disrupting parliament for any reason is bad. Both opposition and ruling parties should behave well and remember always that they are working for the good of country and not in the self interest. If you want to earn, do some business legally. But once you enter politics, it should be in he interest of the people and the nation.Only when you politcians shove away yourself interest in favour of the nation.

My rambling thoughts - Jayalalitha

High court to-day dismissed cases against Jayalalitha and let her free. Really, this is a good news, that atleast after a long time, the court has ruled that there is no proof for the allegations.
True she might have immense fortune. She was a long time film star- a heroine-who might have earned a lot, before she went for politics. After all, why should she amass wealth illegally? She is a single woman who is not married and has no family. And she is working for the improvement of her State of Tamilnadu. I think, at the end, all her wealth, however immense it is, will be left for the welfare of the people of Tamilnadu.

My rambling thoughts - on corruption

On corruption
I remember, for nearly more than 50 years, corruption has been mentioned, and the leaders have declared that the corruption will be eradicated in their tenure of power.  But, every year, corruption is spreading like a wild fire. And to put it off needs a super-human power.
Let us think from the beginning.  A child is promised a toffee if he eats his dinner, or does his home work. So, the human nature, with its harmless incentive for extra benefit, naturally has developed the corruption which is now felt harmful. Only a powerful ruler, and the will of the citizens can eradicate this evil.
A powerful leader can make laws incriminating and banning corruption. Already, corruption is banned in our country. But, how many can you fine, or put in jail for the crime? . Besides, how do the authorities know that a certain transaction is illegal or undertaken for some gift, either by money or Kind.
