Black Money

                                                          Black Money
Why did money became black?
It is understood that illegally earned money is called black money. Here, illegally means: corruptions, cheating, theft or burglary, and what more....?
Of course, even though hard earned, through business, or by profesion ,say a doctor, engineer, merchant or any professional  earn rightfully with their efforts, still their money becomes black, when the income is not declared and  the tax paid to the government.
Of course, it is the duty of every citizen to pay the scheduled taxes in order to maintain the government whose duty is to look after the welfare of the people and the nation.
The small trader, who cannot maintain accounts and whose income does not exceed  the exempted limit need not pay the income-tax. But, still, his savings accrued over several years, not saved in a Bank or Post-office, will become black if not invested properly. This is for general public.
An artist, or a professional, if he is paid in cash and does not show in books of account, what all he has earned, his saved money becomes black. If a person sells or buys a land, and if the actual amount received or paid is not mentioned in the document, the difference of amount received will be become black.
Truly, Black money is a detriment to the economy of a country.
Why at  all the people should be taxed ? If there are no taxes at all, the people can keep all the money or wealth they earn and no need to keep the cumbersome accounts.
But, with out any funds, how can a Government maintain the rules and regulations, build roads and arrange  for other necessities of the people. So, I agree that all the citizens should contribute for the welfare of the nation.

But, there is a big BUT here.  Most of the people are of the opinion that why should we pay taxes. They feel the taxes collected are wasted or knocked off by the  politicians who form the government and the officials . Of course, that is true. Government officials have become very corrupt. This is mainly because the politicians are selfish and selfless service is absent from them. Even if there are a few honest workers among them, they cannot withstand  the ignoble company and soon surrender to them.

Unity in Diversity

Unity in Diversity is the slogan of our nation. True, in our nation all religions are accepted. Let people have their own way of life, which the people call as Religion, their own Gods, their own variety of food, what does it matter? So long as they  do not fight for the supremacy of their religion and hate people belonging to other religions.  Our country known as Hindustan with a population of 133 crores of people with multitudes of sects and religions is an ideal secular model to be followed by any other nations of the world.

But, there is a human tendency of getting hold of supremacy over others, spiritually, politically , or by possession  of more wealth. And this causes disagreement, unhappiness, prejudice, hatred and finally skirmishes.

Diversity in religious practices are peculiar in India. There are immense types of rituals, particular to a region, and even particular to each household. Still, there is a unity that binds people, which make them tolerant with respect to different religions and their practices.
In a true Nation, it is very important that people belonging to different religions should not only tolerate but welcome the noble ideas of other religions. After all religion is only a way of life. All religious beliefs are pertaining to see, or realize and pray God. Praying for protection, Protection from any or all calamities. All religions agree that there is a creator, whom we may call in different names as per their beliefs. Of course, there are people who do not believe in God. There is no harm as long as they have no ill-will towards others and are helpful.
The trouble comes when a particular religion claims superiority over others,
Some religions want to spread and convert all the people to their ideology.  I do not know what good they gain from it.  As the world is so diverse in every thing: diverse regions, different temperatures and weather, different time zones, diverse kind of people and languages, it is natural that they will have different ways of life, and different notion about God, the creator.  As God does not  bother about what you think of him
Man is after all a minute creation among immense varieties, almost infinite, created and being created by the creator. It is really surprising that Man thinks that he he is the most superior of all creations and thinks that all the creations are made for his use.Diverse ideas of each person clash, and the religiions are born with their own ideas about God, and their own ways of living. Thus, the religion born in a particulr land is different from the others. But why should people belonging to one religion want to spread and dominate over others ? In this modern times, when the people are exposed to universal ideas, and believe that there is a force, the power which creates and destroys, and is all pervading, the idea of universal brotherhood should be followed irrespective of the religion, race, country, and language for the good of humanity.

Religion

The world seems to be in a turmoil. people are fighting in many countries, and it seems to be religion that is the root cause of all these turmoils and tribulations which are causing so much of unhappiness and distress.
But Religion, you can not ban it. You can not live away from it.
So, This is high time, we try to understand what is religion.
Religion is only a way of life.Religion is an attempt to try to understand and interpret the great phenomenon that is known as God, the creator. Each religion has its own interpretation about God. And praying God for anything and everything gives a kind of solace to the people.
In attempting to find comfort, the groups of people living in different parts of this earth, formed their own ways of life.
But, when the people were not satisfied with what they had, they began to wander capturing the weaker people, and then all these turmoils began. They taught their way of life, calling it as religion, to the people they won over with brute force.
It is high time people realize that living in harmony with all the sects, whatever their religion be, is the real religion, a true Dharma. For being born on this Earth, let us protect this earth for future generations to come.

There is no stupidity than thinking any religion as superior to others. And surely it is a crime to force one's religion on others.
But, as the Earth is divided into several countries, it is better to adapt a uniform code of law , for each country, which should be followed by the countrymen. The law should not be based on any religion. Religion is an individual choice, and should not come in the way of administration of a country. The administrator should be impartial and should work in the interest of all people.

Parliamentarians

My country

Observing the behaviour of parliamentarians, I feel ashamed. What do they think ? Do not they have moral responsibility for the development and progress of my country?  Holding on to some flimsy cause, upsetting the Parliamentary function is a sin and a crime.
Oh you, parliamentarians who are sitting in opposition benches, remember that after all any Office of power is temporary, and you may get the chance again, if you behave well.
Most of the people are poor and not educated. So, their votes can be bought by some monetary kindness to them. But, definitely, this will not last long.   Now that parliament meetings are shown live on TV, people know what they are speaking and how they are behaving. Disrupting parliament for any reason is bad. Both opposition and ruling parties should behave well and remember always that they are working for the good of country and not in the self interest. If you want to earn, do some business legally. But once you enter politics, it should be in he interest of the people and the nation.Only when you politcians shove away yourself interest in favour of the nation.

My rambling thoughts - Jayalalitha

High court to-day dismissed cases against Jayalalitha and let her free. Really, this is a good news, that atleast after a long time, the court has ruled that there is no proof for the allegations.
True she might have immense fortune. She was a long time film star- a heroine-who might have earned a lot, before she went for politics. After all, why should she amass wealth illegally? She is a single woman who is not married and has no family. And she is working for the improvement of her State of Tamilnadu. I think, at the end, all her wealth, however immense it is, will be left for the welfare of the people of Tamilnadu.

My rambling thoughts - on corruption

On corruption
I remember, for nearly more than 50 years, corruption has been mentioned, and the leaders have declared that the corruption will be eradicated in their tenure of power.  But, every year, corruption is spreading like a wild fire. And to put it off needs a super-human power.
Let us think from the beginning.  A child is promised a toffee if he eats his dinner, or does his home work. So, the human nature, with its harmless incentive for extra benefit, naturally has developed the corruption which is now felt harmful. Only a powerful ruler, and the will of the citizens can eradicate this evil.
A powerful leader can make laws incriminating and banning corruption. Already, corruption is banned in our country. But, how many can you fine, or put in jail for the crime? . Besides, how do the authorities know that a certain transaction is illegal or undertaken for some gift, either by money or Kind.
